Good workout but can I keep it going all the way to the marathon?

I was a bit stiff after my run on Thursday and it also didn't help that I've been shifting furniture up/down stairs (I bet elite athletes don't have that problem!) so I thought today's 7 mile run at 10:06 pace was going to be hard work. It wasn't easy but as it turned out it wasn't that bad either and I managed to run a consistent pace of around 9:55 to finish in 69:33.

4 weeks into my 11 week schedule before running the Great South Run and this week's training has been a step up - and next week is another step up - and although I'm keeping up with it, my legs in particular are only just recovering in time. With 7 weeks to go, I'm confident of being able to run 10 miles and moving up to a half-marathon is a challenge but doesn't seem too daunting - hey it's only another 3 miles! But I have to say I'm very apprehensive about whether I'll be able to run twice that distance. I know it's at least a year away, but I'm just not sure my legs will be able to cope with the training. I guess I'll just have to take it one step at a time (pun intended!) and not get too far ahead of myself.
