My arms ache

Posted on: 04 Jan 2009

Probably, no certainly, because I finally got off my butt on Friday and went to the gym. I took it relatively easy on the cardio machines as I didn't want to give myself a heart attack but once I got to the weights I'm afraid I went a bit OTT. I tried to pick up where I had left off almost a year ago and that was a mistake. I managed to lift what I  tried but I now know that I should have dropped the weights by quite a bit as today my arms are aching like mad. I had no reaction from my heel and felt pretty good yesterday - so much so that I toyed with the idea of going to the gym again but in the end sense prevailed and I decided to ease into it every other day (I went to Fratton Park instead, should have gone to the gym!). I even, wait for it, I even went for a run last night. Not far, no watch, no measuring the distance, no plans to do anything than see how it went and if my heel held up. well it did, and so far there has been no reaction. I think that is what has caused my arms to hurt.

Ooooh, I'm so excited! It felt good to be back in the gym, even if it was full of body builders and bimbos (it's not usually). Despite my arm ache I will be back later after plenty of stretching them out and I'll drop the weights a bit too so it doesn't hurt again.

Evry time I post I try to makw the font size larger but when my post appears it's always in small print, hardly readable. Sorry about that folks, I'll keep tryng until I get it sorted.

Never ever give up
