Well I did nothing on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or Boxing Day! And I've been aching since the long run on Sunday - just down at the bottom of my back. So I thought I'd better get out and run today and set off in the pouring rain for a nice run of just under 7 miles.
My mile splits were fairly even with 8:15, 8:14, 8:19, 8:27, 8:34, 8:20 and 7:18 for the last 0.93 miles (which was 7:48/mile pace). This gave me 6.93 miles in 57:28 - averaging 8:17 per mile.
Not too bad after all the food and drink I've had of the last few days! Now I'll rest until Sunday's 10k in Clitheroe and hope for a decent time around 43 minutes. There I've said it on here now so I've got to go for it!
I hope you've all had a great Christmas and have got more running done than I have!
