Another double session day for me. Good run at lunch with Wendy but where did the sun go?? It was cold and misty today but we still managed 3.7 miles in 36:42 so just under 10 minute miles and a great run.
Tonight wasa track session and I must admit to tired legs as I started it but this is my second long week! I did a 2 mile warm up then we did our running drills before starting the session. The session was 600m, 500m, 400m, 300m, 200m, 100m getting quicker as the distances got shorter. We had 400m jog after the first three and then 200m jog after the shorter sections.
I did the 600m in 2:25 and was way off the pace of Mark, Adam and Jane but my pace was 6:33 per mile pace. The 500m got a touch quicker in 2:02 which was 6:31 pace. 400m in 92s or 5:59 pace, then 300m in 64s 5:33 pace, 200m was a fast (well to me at least!)39s or 5:05 pace. The final 100m sprint was 18 seconds - 4:37 pace.
The mile warm down took the full sessiion to 6 miles and gives me 9.7 miles for the day - see no hundreths! That's 26.8 for the week so far so well on my way to another 50.
