Easy Lunch time run...
Posted on: 05 Feb 2008
NOT!
Well I was a bit heavy legged after the last two days and decided to run easy even though I was on my own and that's usually when I run faster.
I left the Garmin and my watch in my locker before heading out for my run so I wouldn't be tempted. I quickly checked the watch before leaving and it was just before 12:15 I walked from one end of the building where the changing rooms are up the stairs and out the door.
I set off on my 4 mile route and kept what felt a steady pace and it turned out to be a warm day and not too much wind. It felt like a really good run and I felt comfortable as I finished and walked back to the changing rooms. When I checked my watch it said just after 12:45 and I'd run the 4 miles in around 30 minutes.
It didn't feel that quick and I felt good so I guess the training's kicking in now, but I'll try to step it back a little so I don't peak too soon and I've still got my three races to go in the build up to London.
Jenny and Wendy are back out tomorrow lunchtime so hopefully a recovery run of around 4 miles tomorrow.
