Well, firstly apologies for a lack of updates over the last few weeks, but a lot of social family activity & not much else in terms of running!
However, things are settling down again and my HM at Richmond Park is starting to get ever closer. Will I get my time under 2 hours? That's my informal goal, and I managed a 5 mile run today in Seaford in 46m 33s, which suggests 9.5 mins per mile, so doing 13.1 miles equates to 2 hours, 5 mins, so I'm not too far off. I'm going for a 10 miler next Sunday, together with two 3 mile lunchtime sessions in the week, so that'll fitten me up hopefully.
The Richmond Park HM is on the 25th November, so I have 4 weeks to get the Mojo in order & sort out the determination / head space. I must admit that my 2 hour goal was actually targetted for the London HM in March, so some re-calibration to do if I manage the 2 hour target quicker than I thought. But, it hasn't been done yet, so mustn't get too carried away!
Best to you all for those of you training for specific runs, events, or individual goals. More next week!
