Hi all, hope you are all well & feeling good. We have made it to December!
So, how did my Half Marathon go last Sunday in Richmond Park? Well, firstly what a glorious royal park, you could see some of the large buildings in central London, and it was surprisingly bleak! I did see some of the famous deer and thankfully they stayed well clear of our course. The course itself was made up of running 4 laps of the same route, which I found a little pyshologically off putting & that might have accounted for (what I felt) was a poor time of 2 hours & 23 mins (so much for the 2 hour HM!!). Plus points were that I kept running, & apart from the last couple of miles, felt fairly chipper.
I'm going to have a fairly low key training regime leading up to my next event, the Tadworth 10 in early Jan, then crank it up for the Vitality Big Half in mid March, where I fully intend to get a lot closer, if not beat the 2 hour mark!
I'll update my next progress around late December, so have a great festive time all, enjoy Christmas!
