RUNĀ free, as free as the wind blows, as free as the grass grows, run freeĀ andĀ follow your heart šŸ˜„šŸ˜„....

Well the old ticker has waited as long as it can wait to get once again up into those mountains. My mountains. Well ok, they’re not my mountains, but they’ve adopted me, and I’m ok with it 😊.

The wind blows harder up on them mountain tops. Not today though. The grass grows green and lush on wetter uplands and makes for proper strong and healthy sheep. We could learn from our 4 legged friends šŸ¤”.Ā

.... Live free, and beauty surrounds you, the world still astounds you, each time you look at a star....

Could see the green today. Could see miles of green today 😊. Even more miles of clear blue up above. One of them cloudless days with clear air where you can see all the way to Scotland from Yr Wyddfa and every single one of the 29 lakes you can see from her summit shines sapphire blue like giant gemstones fallen in the green. It is beautiful. Astoundingly beautiful šŸ˜šŸ˜. Stars come in a great many guises. Plenty of people clearly not fit for it, but tackling the mountain anyway to raise funds for the good causes they believe in. Quite a strong mental health theme I noticed.

... Stay free, let no woes divide you...

Who has woes when they’re up here? Man vs mountain, mono et mono?

... You’re free as a roaring tide so there’s no need to hide...

I’m not hiding, I wanna know if I’ve still got what it takes to run up this mountain so I’ll keep going until something or somebody stops me. In answer to the question ā€œHowĀ do you run up here?ā€ I answer the same way every time ā€œPractice, it’s just practice...ā€ (draw another breath) ā€œ... I’m no different to you...ā€ (breathe again) ā€œ... I used to struggle walkingā€. Somewhere deep inside I hope it inspires somebody to try.

.... Born free, and life is worth living, but only worth living ā€˜cause you RUNĀ free....

Never feel that freedom more than when I’m up here.Ā

The freedom of the mountain.

The freedom of a body that’s still fit enough to run to the top. The freedom of a body that can dodge rocks and people and walking poles and dogs just by hopping up onto a rock whilst free-falling back down the mountain.

I’ll make the most of what abilities I’ve got while I’ve still got them. They’re not going to be with me forever. I’m under no illusions about that.

Right now I can still run up Snowdon though, and equally, back down 😊. I’m pretty pleased about that 😊😊.

.... RUNĀ free, and life is worth living, but only worth living ā€˜cause you’re bornĀ free....

Thank you Matt 😊.

Thank you Mel šŸ˜„.

...What will you do with your freedom?....

I’ll be back up Yr WyddfaĀ next week, hoping for another day as glorious as this one.

What will you do with yours?
