Question Myself,about running,food,lifestyle

I wanted to share something with you,I do love & I need running. but some times I feel lifestyle,food and events can get in the way of my passion. I like a routine & when that changes things drop off. after birthdays,Christmas & even days off with the family,how do you stop yourself from over doing it with the goodies food/drink? How do you keep going with the training ? What tips help you through the lazy days/months ?
