So having completed week 8 of c2 5k and the first run of week 9, why not go for the full 5k (I don’t run fast enough to complete it in 30 minutes😳)
Well there I was on Saturday 06.30 (ok not quite sunrise!) ready to go, and off we went, the field ran off at a very/rather/quite fast pace - but getting around all the way without walking was my aim, so found MY pace, not quite at the back, but very near and stuck to it, yep, all the way round. I overtook a few people, not many, but I didn’t get ‘swept up’ and I did run (slowly 🤣) all the way - so both targets achieved!
It was lovely to be able to be there - (1) as part of the club who had helped in the organisation and (2) to raise funds (£3000) for the Chartwell Cancer Trust a local charity
The weather was grand, sun shining, although a little more of a cooling breeze would have been nice (for me); yes I turned tomato red during the run - as usual.
A couple more runs needed before next weeks graduation Parkrun, fingers crossed its not too hot next Saturday!
