And so it begins...my 23 week marathon training plan started yesterday with a rest day (which I absolutely nailed). However, the first run proper was a 3 miler this evening and with temperatures a polar bear would be miffed at I did NOT want to go out.
But with an ill thought out McDonald’s donut laying heavy in my stomach and blowing more steam into the night air than Thomas the Tank, out I went. It wasn’t an easy run and these measly 3 miles were way more difficult than the 6.5 miles I ran on Sunday (how the **** does that work?!). Nevertheless, I did it and was able to add an OCD satisfying couple of ticks to the first week of my plan.
