Diary of a RoadRunner

I am a dedicated (even obsessive) runner fitness fan approaching the grand old age of 44. Having just completed the Flora London Marathon in 3hrs 2mins 58secs I have amended my goals for the year. The blog will be a diary of progress, trials and triumphs.  As well as the odd anarchic thought.

44 been and gone

Was my birthday yesterday and managed to get a run in with some work colleagues.  This was good as I managed to keep at a relatively easy pace, worked out about 8min miles. Today is a training day off.  I find it so difficult not to do anythin...

Soon to be 44

This week did not start off that well.  Missed out my Long Run on Sunday, I managed to rationalise this with the fact that I did run the FLM the previous week. The rest of the week pretty good though, managed to get some steady 7 milers in on ...

End of another running week

So the end of an eventful week. Ran the London Marathon on Sunday.  Absolutely fantastic event, exceptional organisation, great crowds, great camaraderie. I took Monday off as a rest day.  The adrenalin was still coursing through my ...
