How much water should I try and drink each day?

Our bodies are composed of between 45-75% water and if you become dehydrated, you can experience symptoms such as headaches, nausea and fatigue as well as suffering impaired exercise performance. A frequent quote from nutritional advisors is to consume two litres of water daily but that isn’t the entire story.

Other fluids contribute positively to your daily fluid consumption, such as milk and juices, so it doesn’t have to be entirely water. However, remember that if you’re exercising, you will lose fluid through sweating and hence on days when you work out, you should endeavour to drink more fluids to replace losses from sweating.
