Do you think I can retain my fitness if I have a couple of weeks off and still run the marathon?

Don’t panic and listen to the medical advice. In the meantime focus on what cross training you can do that will not aggravate your injuries. Cycling and swimming will keep you aerobically ticking over.

Two weeks will not make that much difference and the rest may freshen you up but it’s a good idea to introduce some cross training.

The doctor told me I have bursitis of the gluteus and said it would clear up in a couple of weeks. I am frustrated because I can not run. Is there anything in the meantime to speed up the recovery, it is nearly two weeks with the injury but no improvement.

I get a stitch on my right side at the bottom of my rib cage, every run that I do. It sometimes moves over to my left but not very often. Is there anything that you can suggest? I've tried putting my hands in the air, squeezing my water bottle and I stop to stretch but it always comes back. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
