I have just started running so I'm a real beginner and I find running alone really boring I have been thinking about joining a local running club but put off by the fact that everyone there will be really experienced. Any advice?
Finding the motivation to drag yourself out of the house to go for a run can often be hard, but you’ll find it a lot easier if you have committed to meet a training partner or if you are a member of a club. Remember everyone was a beginner once too and most running clubs cater for a variety of levels of experience.
I would drop in to your local club and discuss what they can offer for you – you’ll probably find they’ll be able to slot you into a group that fits your level. Running clubs are a great way to get to know new local routes, offer advice and encouragement, and push you to new levels in your running training. Probably just the boost to your motivation you need.
