I am 83-year-old female. I have not run for over 40 years and doubted I could. Today, at the right place/right time I was watching my great grandkids play football and had the urge to run and I did. I felt a euphoria and could just not come down. Should I keep trying?

It's great that you felt such joy when running with your great grandkids and it would be wonderful if you could do it more frequently. However, after a lengthy period away from running, and taking into account your age, you would be wise to get checked over first by a professional before aiming to start out running again. At least then you will know that you are in a healthy condition to start a physical activty such as running again.

I am finding it really difficult to keep running, finding I want to stop during my run. Is this normal and how can I change it?
