I am finding it really difficult to keep running, finding I want to stop during my run. Is this normal and how can I change it?
It’s definitely normal to feel as if you want to stop during some runs. After all, as runners we ask a lot of our bodies and minds! I find that the best thing to do is to break the run down into smaller chunks or segments and only focus on completing one segment at a time.
The other thing that really helps is to try and enlist some company for some of your runs, whether that’s running with somebody else or even having somebody riding a bike alongside you. Having somebody to chat to definitely acts as a great distraction and helps the time to tick by quicker.
