How can I get my swimming speed up?
You won’t get your swimming speed up without actually doing it. Work hard on your technique so you’re becoming as efficient in the water as possible but also get some hard and fast swim sets done.
Begin with a series of max 25m reps focusing on windmilling your arms around as fast as possible and gradually build that up so you’re swimming fast over 50’s and 100’s to build up your speed endurance.
