How do I find the right size wetsuit?
Finding the right size wetsuit is critical to your performance. Swimming in a wetsuit can often be around 4 second per 100m faster than without but you have to have a wetsuit that fits you properly. It can’t be too tight that it restricts your chest and is hard to get on and off, and it needs to be big enough and flexible enough around your shoulders and arms that you can move freely as you would without it.
When you try on different suits if it’s a struggle to put it on then you’re in the wrong suit. If you’re getting tired moving your arms around then it’s also the wrong one for you. Try to find something with as thin neoprene on the shoulders as possible.
