How do I stay motivated when completing swimming training on my own?
One of the things almost every athlete struggles with is trying to stay motivated when facing a swim session on your own. It’s quite rare to find someone who has the will to do a proper full length swim set off their own back but the best way to begin is to have the set written out on a piece of paper before you jump in.
Try to make your swim set interesting and motivating. I like reverse pyramid sets where you start off with big reps and it gets shorter from then on in. So when you’ve knocked off the first chunk of swimming you know it’s getting easier from then on in.
