Decided to do the 5k Park run this weekend, haven't managetup get to one for months and thought it would be a good marker to see the progression in my fitness. I really wanted to push myself as haven't been doing a lot of speed work which I think I need to improve on. I'm pleased to say I pulled off a PB of 22:46 and as the 6th female felt a real boost...:)
My husband working all of this weekend so difficult to get out for my long run as have the children, weather miserable too which doesn't normally bother me but setting off in the rain seems different to it raining when I'm already out. so going to head to the gym when he gets home and see how many miles I can manage on the dreadmill!!!
There seems to be no repercussions from my 18 miler last week...i had a sports massage which felt great, 20 miler next Saturday which Im very excited for!!
