What a fantastic day had by all
Congratulations you are all heroes & the spectators had a wonderful day, weren't they just brilliant, amazing & just awsome in there support & encouragement.
My hood stayed up all the way around but my rear zipper kept coming down, only realised this when I was high fiving a row of children & suddenly was aware of this sweet little boy running behind me saying Mr Mr your zips undone ! what a star
Not too much problem as I was only revealing the back of my CK's & not the front !
My arms today are more sore than my legs from waving & high fives at both sides of the road, this marathon with the crowd was even more immence than my last Virgin London Marathon in 2010.
Finished in 4 : 13 but it was never about the time it was about getting the most out of the day & thanking as many people as possible for coming out to see us. 32 yrs of running, 13 marathons pb 2 : 48 etc ect, busting a gut, totally exhausted.
For me this Marathon was about taking a step back, with sensitive thoughts of those less lucky than ourselves, I think we showed that yesterday in buckets.
Have a great rest, I will & then my next goal will be Amsterdam all paid for & I think they like the colour orange
