Yikes 1 week to go  I was in Zurich last week so managed to do a run around the City & the lake - great once I mastered crossing the roads & the trams! Now 1 week to go so not many miles left in training. Runner 33384 is nearly ready for 'D' Day...

Tapering begins

Well the weather could have been kinder for my longest training run - the 22 miler    I started at the Athletics Centre, formerly Picketts Lock & ran along the River Lea down to Limehouse Marina, past the Olympic Stadium et al & back - a total o...

I'm back - 5 weeks to go!

Running Club

This week I decided it would be a good idea to try a couple of runs with the local running club.   Running with the others certainly helped, although to find out my first session was hill training caused a very big sigh. Yes I know that this will help i...

17 Week Countdown

I ran the London Marathon in 2012 & it was supposed to be my last but sadly at around 16 miles I trod on one of the water bottles. I managed to get myself to the end in 5 hours 19mins &  found out the next day I had a broken bone in my foot. I a...
