The wanderer - aka known as Jenny Cass- returns. After a bit of an absence from RealBuzz I've decided to rejoin and look forward to catching up with some former bloggers ( if there are any of you left on here!). But of course am interested in making new running friends.

So why am I blogging?  Well I teach in a College of Further Education. Life seems to be getting ever more busy and stressful and Ofsted always seems to be lurking round the corner. I hate the fact that running seems to be pushed aside. Whilst I continue to run short distances to work and home again my training has been haphazard. I continue to run marathons but seem to have lost my edge and also my 'mental stamina'.

So- long story short. I'm thinking a lot more seriously again about my training and am hoping next year to improve my marathon time before I really am too old. ( I am 53). I do have a place in VLM but have other marathons lined up ( as well as a few more for this year).  I look forward to charting my progress and also to share some thoughts about how running fits into a busy teacher's life!

I will be creating a justgiving page for the Multiple Sclerosis charity and hope to raise funds over the next year as I have colleagues at work with this disease.
