Planning 2015

Posted on: 11 Dec 2014

Parkrun 49 has been completed.  No PB’s or even close but since the Poppy Half I’ve only been doing the parkruns and I’ve gone from 33 mins back to 31mins so I’m satisfied with that for the time being.

Told everyone in Dulwich not to expect me back until the New Year for my 50th run.  Probably being a bit ‘soft’ but I want it to be special, so I’m going to have to get back out into Crystal Palace and start working hard as I really want that sub 30.  One of the chaps has said that he’s sure they’ll be able to find someone to pace me round when I’m ready.

Huge thank you to everyone who has taken time to comment and answer my daft questions this year (I’m not very good at responding but I truly appreciate them).

Looking forwards to 2015, I’m booked onto the London 10k Winter Run on Feb 1st (looking forward to the Polar Bear Hugs at the end, just hope they are half as good as a HWD one!).  Brighton Marathon in April (Travelodge is booked) – it’ll be my first ever marathon so am rather nervous, but it’ll be a blast with everyone there.  May will be the Hackney Half (again) then November will be Las Vegas Half night time run up and down the strip (Rock’n’Roll).

So, just need to find and wash my kit and start getting up early again (that’s the hardest part – getting out of a nice warm bed to go out into the cold and frosty morning!  Urgh)

Anyway I digress! Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas and a productive New Year XX
