Time..... its a commodity that few of us can spare. I for one have been guilty of going out on a training run in an attempt to get round as quick as I can due to time constraints. A hectic work and home life in modern society seems to leave little time for things such as spending 10 minutes warming up and warming down....
But... time must be made to achieve this if you are to have any hope of avoiding serious injury.
So I came across an excellent article on pre-run preparation with some great dynamic warm up exercises listed that I will definitely be trying out. For those that don't know, a dynamic warm up involves moving the muscle/body rather than just stretching it and is considered much more effective.
