Day One!

So, day one of our training...

As my sisters have not run before, we started off nice and easy with 3 minutes running followed by 3 minutes of walking, for a total of 4 reps.

This was after my nephew had a massive tantrum and wanted to come running with us, in his sandals no less! Anyone would think his mummy was leaving for a month ;)

We are now sat at our mother's table with enjoying the post-run glow...

A long way to go but it's a start. Experience has taught me the marathon comes round quick, but the satisfaction of watching the mileage increase and the resultant confidence that comes with it means we will be more than ready!
