‘Running in Trail Shoes’ Lesson 1

Posted on: 16 Dec 2014

By Paul ... A simple lesson but one I learnt the hard way today … When transitioning from a gravelly tow path to a boggy field on the other side of the canal, don’t assume the bridge in between will react in a similar way to the trail shoes’ grip.

Slick and slippy would be an understatement and I went down like Jurgen Klinnsman  against Argentina in the World Cup final of 1990!

The things we do for running and charity, eh?

At least the new shoes are now christened and looking trail worthy, with a ton of the Kennet & Avon’s finest mud attached to them.

Let’s hope I won’t be a writing a Lesson 2 any time soon ;0)
