I just went up to the track, and did 'sprints' of 'fast' 400m loops. I was trying to make them fast but hey, this is me! I'm embarrassed to admit that they were 9+ minute miles.
Tomorrow I'll be going running with an old friend (who only started running a few months ago, but already runs faster than me!). We'll do an 11 mile loop.
My big hope now is 2 and a half hours for the 1/2 marathon next month.
I forgot to say, on Thursday I noticed that I have a medal from the 2005 Shakespeare race on the pin-board over my desk at work. I have no memory at all of doing that. But I've looked up my result, and it was only just under 2 and a half hours then, so I don't suppose 'blind', disabled old me can beat the 'old' me's time. Particularly if my 'sprints' are as slow as I managed today.
