Counting down to Sept 19th

Missed training last week; worked 6 days & really couldn't justify then going out all evening & missing out on family time. Oh, the joys of being self-employed...

So entered the Burnham Beeches 1/2 on Sunday. Rotton couple of nights sleep beforehand, awful preparation on the day, and many other excuses that I can come up with will explain why I had to walk 6-7 times on the way round. Still, 2:01:01 chip time, less than 2 mins behind my PB, & on a hilly course in humid conditions. Not bad for a middle aged father of 3.

The plan now is to enjoy the rest of the summer break with the family, & then from next week no beer until after the GNR. OK, maybe I'm being a little optimistic with that one, but definately a cull is necessary. And back to regular club runs will be in order.
