Nothing much to add today. Another 10 laps of the pitch and honestly felt that I could have done a few more so I think it's now time to up those runs. Was nice and hot out there today and the field I run on is wide and open so there is no shade, especially at 2pm!
My mum is in hospital again, serious infections and whatever. The docs told us to let the family know 'just how seriously ill she is'. Not sure if that means what we take it to mean so I asked the direct question but got a very non-commital answer. She might die, she might not. That helps a lot Doc, thanks! Can any of you nurses out there elaborate on 'let the family know just how seriously ill she really is'? She's perked up today but I think the drugs are doing that for her, only time will tell. For those interested she has pnuemonia, bronchitis, a bone infection, a leaky heart valve and a racing heart beat (due to the drugs she has become dependent on). As well as a hole in her leg (from where they took a vein to put in her heart), she can't eat, and probably bed sores as well now.
All is not doom and gloom though, I am running again!
Never ever give up
