What a difference a day makes

Posted on: 11 Mar 2010

Yesterday it felt like I had never run as far as the end of the road in my life and every muscle in my body had siezed up and then today I bounded around the country park for 45 minutes at a bit above what I hope will be Sunday's race pace feeling great.  Really strange how no 2 days are the same and I have never been able to identify anything I have done or not done that explains it (apart from the occasions where the hangover might be a clue).

Anyway next run is the Kilomathon on Sunday.  No idea what to expect.  Don't know the course.  No idea how many people are going to run.  I am in the second pen which is for those expecting to run between 2.10 and 2.20.  When I enterd I was quite optimistic about doing that sort of time.  I was running 18 or 19 miles in January and feeling really good.  Then the injury hit and so now I would be really pleased to do around 2.30.  Main thing is to treat itt as quality training for London.
