Keeping at it

Posted on: 24 Oct 2019

The 10 k race I did the other weekend was great fun. It was a small run organised by  a local club, around country lanes, starting and finishing t the scout hut.

I enjoyed every minute of it, it was hilly, windy it rained, but it was lovely to be out in the countryside and afterwards I treated myself to a cup of tea before driving home. A lovely way to spend a Sunday morning.

My daughter is back sea swimming so I have been keeping her company, she is in a swimming costume and after last week I am in my wetsuit. We even managed a mid-week swim after school this week as well as Saturday. Apart from that I have been doing short runs and  short cycles. This time of year it seems hard to keep very motivated so I am just sticking to getting out and doing a bit. Tonight is swimming training, tomorrow a run in the woods with the dog and climbing in the evening and then swimming again Saturday morning, training in the pool and the sea in the afternoon, bike ride Sunday.
