As the forecast for Saturday was so bad I set the alarm for 5.30am and headed off on my run just before 6 o’clock. I wrapped up ready for wind and rain and in fact the bad weather held off until after lunch. The plan was to do more than 13 miles and probably around 14. Last run I had some stomach issues and so due to that and also setting off so early I walked for the first 10 mins or so and put no pressure on myself to hurry. A call at Mcdonalds for use of their toilets after 50 mins and all was well. The rest of the run was uneventful and I listened to a podcast which I have not done before and really enjoyed. At 14 miles I had the option to cut straight back home or take the longer route, I decided on the longer route but walked most of it as a nice cool down. So 15 miles done, not quick but done none the less. A short 30 mins on the turbo Sunday morning and then a day indoor climbing and it was a pretty active weekend. Today is a rest day.
I am finding it quite hard to combine cycling, swimming and marathon training while being mindful not to or overdo it. So any advice is would be good.
