Fresh off the triumph of the Oulton Park 20 miler I must now face the aftermath; yin & yang at its best.
My calf has been playing up anyway and during the race it was weak (as mentioned), not supporting a full stride, resulting in a slight limp. Today I noticed minor bruising to the calf which is tender to the touch. I’ve applied iced broccoli & cauliflower (only healthy stuff in our freezer remains unopened) and have the leg elevated.
My running plan is light this week so I’m going to take this opportunity to rest to avoid further woes. What a rollercoaster marathon training is eh?
