Sarah runs the London Marathon 2018...

My story...

In 2014 I enthusiastically set a goal to run a marathon within 5 years…now is the time!  My work as a Physiotherapist and personal friendships have led me to see the highs and lows of life for those with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). So, who better to run for than Cystic Fibrosis Trust? They are a fantastic CF charity funding research, driving up standards of care and directly supporting people affected. This blog...

As this opportunity to run for the CF Trust is a huge challenge and great privilege for me I am keen to share the journey with all of you who are interested. I will try to update the page regularly, both regarding training and fundraising, as well as anything else that may be interesting or funny in my life.

So read and enjoy, think about supporting me with sponsorship and please do encourage me with motivational quotes, words and bribes along the way!

Love Sarah

I spy...

Today's long run saw me playing a fantastic game of nature 'I spy'. Hardly having left the house I spied 3 llama/alpaca types in the front garden of the big house on the corner and had to stop to take a photo!  Moving on a bird of prey perched on a tele...

Sat now partially recovered from the toughest training run so far.  I set out aiming to achieve a ten mile route which comprised of 2 routes familiar to me on past (shorter) training runs and a little bit extra round the village to make the distance. I...

Slip sliding my way to longer...

From 3rd July 2017 I have accumulated an estimated 145 miles of running, made up of 10km/6 miles weekly runs and a series or shorter runs and December indicates the start of the 'long' runs, as training ramps up for the London Marathon in April 2018. D...

With a grand total of 3 runs in the dark so far I am not quite proficient but am certainly learning the ropes. I now have not only a head torch and luminous top but also a flashing armband, reflective vest thingy and strong beam torch for those dark roa...
