On the road to the Virgin 2012 London Marathon!

I am starting my first ever Blog and will be updating it with my highs and lows of the next years worth of training for the Virgin 2012 London Marathon.

A little about me, I have only recently got the running bug and thought I would apply for the 2012 marathon. Much to my surprise I was offered a place immediately from PhabKids, which was one of a few children's charities I had applied. Although I was extremely happy to get a place, it suddenly became a whole lot more real! I have entered the British 10k run to gain a bit of experience, which is in July.

So I have invested in some Nike+ trainers and sportsband and have been hitting the gym.

Let the training begin!!!

Getting excited!

It's nearly here, my first running event! I'm preparing myself for the British 10K run on Sunday and depending on how congested it is at the start I'm on track to run it in under 55 minutes (however I'll be happy with anything under 1 hour!)    As this ...
