Weekend Walking
Have recently started having weekend walks in the Kent Countryside with my hubby (only exercise he gets), so would like somewhere to record them and maybe store the odd photo. I have started to record details in my Marathon training blog but it's not really the best place for them. So I thought I'd start a new one, just for the walks.

Explore Kent Meopham 4.7 miles
Long drive but found the car park without any problems (Sat Nav gets a tick).
Good start (public loos by the car park). All the route finding was pretty good, the photos on the guidance are an excellent idea.

Edenbridge (3 miles)
Instructions were brilliant. Didn’t get lost once, so this walk gets good marks overall. Parked for free in the railway station car park.

We decided to follow our noses. Excellent start (clea...
Not sure I could wholeheartedly recommend this walk (Kent Rambers Walk 36) as there were paths blocked by manure, thick brambles and nettles, overgrown stiles, plus what appears to be major road construction right through the middle of the pathway! (A ...
Rambers Walk 14
Again, a nice walk (about 4miles). Weather was a bit of a scorcher so rather pleased it was mostly under cover. (Woodland).
Parked opposite the church as instructed.
We liked the plant growing round the entrance. (May have been roses)...
Kent Ramblers walk 67
A beautiful, warm, sunny days with the meadows full of butterflies.
The church at Downe was so picturesque.
And unusually it was open (I guess it was a Sunday, so perhaps it's not locked between services)
So beautiful and peac...
4.5 Miles
Remembered this walk quite well (once I had looked at the photo's again).
Drove about a bit to find the car park at first, then next priority (for the husband) was spending a penny. Then off we went.
Could see a chalk Cross on the hillside on...
