Is it normal to feel really out of breath when I run?

If you feel breathless when you run you are more than likely trying to run too fast! It is perfectly ok to slow down and take a walking break if you need to. If you’re running with a friend then you should run at a pace where you can hold a conversation without too much difficulty.

If you’re running solo then use the ‘talk test’ to make sure that you’re not overcooking it. You should be able to say a full sentence.
