I find little lumps and bumps when running very tiring; is there anything I can do about it?

A change in gradient can be tiring but hills, lumps and bumps on your route are a great way to improve your strength and endurance. One of the best ways to make them easier is to do more of them. Including one slightly hilly run into your schedule each week will bring great gains, both on the hills and the flats too.

Start by choosing a route with a few undulations and run at a steady pace, aiming to maintain this pace on the uphills. You’ll soon find the gradients become easier and not so much of challenge. Good luck with your training.
