OK, let's go. First one's for Nick.
Parkrun - I work on Saturday morning (well paid overtime) and if I am not at work I take Mitch to football training otherwise I would do a Parkrun. Why are they always at 9am? He trains then.
Thursday - no exercise t...
So how has today gone? Got up at 5am and set off for workat 5:25am It was a little chilly out.
Run - to work, 20 minutes to run just under 2 miles. Hang on, that's just over 10min miles, a pace I would love to be able to run at. Runkeeper (the app I use...
Bloody heck! I keep forgetting to blog. Since my last entry I have eaten well, exercised lots and had my first weigh in for three weeks. Let's start there
3 weeks in - and I have lost over half a stone. Not bad but if I am honest I am disappointed with ...
I'm supposed to be blogging every couple of days, just so other people can see what the 10 week de-tox plan could do for them as well as keep up to date with my progress. So I better get into the habit instead of leaving it 6 days! So, from my last entr...
And it is a lot easier.
De-toxing - I knew it would be, I did a juice diet a few months ago and lost 7lb in three days, since then I have regularly 'juiced' for a few days at a time. I have fresh juice, either fruit or veg or even a mix of both, all da...
Starving that is. Day two and I have been pretty hungry mostly all day. Drank plenty of water which does help for a short while but I am so used to snacking little and often during the day (as a delivery driver I do not get time to stop and have a lunch...
It's been three months(ish) since my last post in here - where did that time go? I was all motivated, ready, willing and able, and I did sod all about it! A couple of sub 10 min mile runs and I stopped, I even stoppped going to Body Blast Boot Camp. Par...
Hello! Haven't posted for a while because of a dead computer.
Computer - mine just died, hard drive went apparently. I spent a week trying to discover the problem and solve it, couldn't, so I then spent a day trying to get the hard drive out of my old ...
It was. Kinda.
4m 45s - to jog half a mile there. Right away I am on for a sub 10min mile (I usually run around 12 min miles).
4 x 400m - trying to do each one faster than the previous. This time I did 2:10 - 2:10 - 2:11 - 2:05. By my reckoning that i...
That is
60 X 15m sprints
60 press ups
60 squats
60 close arm press ups
60 sit ups
60 wide arm press ups
60 squat jumps
60 burpees
60 wiggly side to side things (each side)
60 V sits
Do as many as you like, in any order you like, but do 60 of each altoge...
..awful. Went for a 4 miler without realising how hot it was out there. Now don't get me wrong, I love running in the heat but today just seemd to sap it right out of me.
3.67 miles - is all I managed. Took a look routes I have saved on Realbuzz maps an...
Not a lot to report really
BodyBlast - did a 45 minute session again last night, this time we were in pairs with one of those small cones that sports people use to mark pitches, shuttle runs etc. One had to throw it, the other had to sprint after it, br...
Wrote up the latest instalment last night only to lose it. Been there done that before and still haven't learnt to type it in word first.
Diabetes - really haven't been looking after myself lately and have felt extremely tired for the last few weeks. I ...
Wasn't scheduled but it happened. Although I knew I was going to miss Body Blast last night to go see an outdoor theatre production of Alice in Wonderland, I did think I would get a run in during the day but things happened, got busy and didn't have tim...
And I have already done todays session.
Speed - it is relative y'know. Fast for me is just jogging for you. I did 4 X 400m, trying to do each rep faster than the last. Came out at 2:25, 2:11, 2:12, 2:07. There was no way I could have done another one ...
Did a 3.6 mile jog round my local area last night
Slow - and it was so slow I might as well have walked it! 3.6 miles took me 45 minutes!!! I had to stretch the back a several times but these stops are only for 30 seconds or so. I really did not feel li...
More the point, bloody wife! She has booked for us to go to an open air theatre to see Alice In Wonderland, on Wednesday! That's the day I was hoping to do my first race for over a year albeit only a 5k. Ho hum...
3 miles - yesterday. Did my 3 mile rout...
Slowly getting there.
Body Blast - parked half a mile away and jogged in last night, then did 45 minutes of boxercise. Lots of upper body work and when you weren't punching you were doing lots of leg work. If I never do another lunge again it will not ...
Seems a lot of people have been having trouble getting some decent sleep recently. I have never been a good sleeper but it's something you get used to, waking several times a night, going to bed late, getting up early, disturbed by almost any noise ousi...
Did a lap of Farlington Marshes today. Mixed terrain which I found tough going for some reason. Usually I much prefer off road running but today wasn't easy. Was it 3 miles?
Garmin - at 36 minutes it told me I was 3 miles, this was a few hundred yards ...
Went out for another little one yesterday afternoon. Car eventually passed it's MOT (£103) so I jogged down to collect it.
Mile and half - just a little casual jog all the way there. According to 'Runkeeper' I did 1.2 m in 14 mins. I said I casually jog...
Starting to get into the habit of blogging again now. Let's see how long it lasts (probably as long as my diets!)
Thursday - took myself out to replicate Mondays BB session. Did it in the playing field near my house and where I could be seen from the gy...
Took a rest day Tuesday, for no reason other than I could. Well, to be honest, I was busy doing nothing all day but there didn't seem to be time for exercise. Felt like I was a busy lad but cannot for the life of me think what I actually did.
BodyBlast ...
Well I went tonight, and everything was fine with my ankle. The swelling went down as the day went on, thanks to some anti-inflammatory pain killers, but it was stiffening up shortly before I went. So I stopped half a mile away and slowly jogged in to t...
