Why run it?

The AJ Bell Great North 10k showcases the city of Newcastle like never before. Known for it's epic atmosphere, the 10k city centre route showcases some of the most legendary sights in Newcastle, including the iconic Tyne Bridge, with a start and finish line on the Great North Road. Expect on-course live music at the motivation stations as well as throngs of high energy supporters all the way to the finish.  The celebrations also continue after the finish line, with a buzzing apres-event village for you and your supporters on the Town Moor.
