Should I be getting regular sports massage?

Regular sports massage has a number of benefits that can help to enhance recovery and prevent injury. It breaks down any adhesions in the muscles as a result of the micro-trauma caused by training, as well as improving the range of movement in the muscles and the joints.

Although it is an expense, regular sports massage is certainly a worthwhile investment if you’re a serious runner. Ideally you should have one every 10-14 days. However, if this is not possible then using a foam roller to iron out any tight areas is certainly a good alternative option.
