Footprints.....

Attended a service of remembering yesterday, was a tough call and don’t reckon could do it again. At the back of the Order Of Service was the poem ‘Footprints’. The deal was to light a candle, simple task, oh yes and sing a couple of hymns and all the good stuff.

Think enough time has passed for me to be more honest and say ‘Running Home’ has always been because of my Father and the legacy of life he taught me. I miss him so much it hurts every day; some days it’s a real struggle but will always keep going, giving up he taught me was never an option. So we will never give up - right?

  • katieh123 'As people wrote after your last blog, it seems that parents will always be more proud of their children's achievements than their own, so how proud must your dad be to see that his legacy has helped you to achieve so much, and also to pass it on to the next generation as well. Take care. Kx' added 10th Nov 2009

  • Account_closed 'I always think of the Rupert Brooke poem on Rememberance sunday:- "If I should die, think only this of me: that there's some corner of a foreign field that is for ever England" And the utter waste of an entire generation. It always moves me when we have a minutes silence.' added 10th Nov 2009
