Doing 5 miles

We done a couple of 5 mile runs and to my amazement I don't feel too bad at all - quite happily surprised... Will only do my short run tomorrow then have Friday off and try a 6 mile run on Saturday. I am a lot heavier than I was this time last year so I am a bit worried about pushing the mileage up too fast as all this weight cant be doing my legs much good, but at the same time I want to burn it off bit of a catch 22.. Trying to do plenty of pram walking as well but anyone got any baby fat burning ideas?
