Ally in Amsterdam! by Ally_R

Hiya, I'm Ally and I've just moved over from FLM 2009. I really enjoy running, but I do moan about it sometimes! I started running in 2003 to help me manage stress at work and now it's become part of my life and I run because I can, it keeps me fit and reasonably slim - (I said reasonably!) Over the past 6 years I've ran various 5ks, 10ks, half marathons and 4 marathons. I recently raised over £1000 for Tuberous Sclerosis when I ran the FLM. I was not at all impressed with my time I ran in London and although I said "NEVER AGAIN", guess what I've signed up to run the Amsterdam Marathon on the 18th October - I desperately want to get under 4hours and then I can retire from marathons (not), I still want to run New York, but that'll maybe be one for next year. My family are such a great support as when training for a marathon, it takes a great deal of time away from the family. I forgot to mention my handsome, fit dog, Harvey, he trains with me and he's simply the best.  My training for Amsterdam doesn't begin until the middle of June, so for the time being, I'm recovering from London and running for fun.
