About In for a penny ........................
It's been a good while since I last blogged, probably around a year, just after I completed the Loch Ness Marathon - I highly recommend it, but it's not for the faint hearted, but hey, is any marathon?
I'm back in the blogging circle as today I received my "CONGRATULATIONS" magazine - I'm absolutely cocka-hoop, third time lucky as they say! I'll sign up for a charity nearer to the 26th April once I see how my training is coming along.
I've been running for 5years and I've ran various races including, Great Scottish Run, Edinburgh Marathon, Hairy Haggis Relay, Berlin Marathon, Jedburgh Half, Loch Ness marathon as well as various 10K's.
I'm a JogScotland coach, I work full time and I love working out with weights.
My running buddy is my wonderful dog Harvey (dalmatian), he loves to run, he recognises the running gear and is always ready and waiting at the door to head out.
On the down side I'm not looking forward to training over the winter, most of my races have been late summer / autumn and it's easy to get up to run early in the morning when the birds are singing - I'll need help with my motivation for the cold winter early morning runs and probably the evening ones as well as it'll always be dark when I train - the good news is that with all the training I'll be doing I won't put weight on over the winter so no mad panic to get in shape when spring comes and the bulky clothes get packed away for something a bit more glamerous - Yahoo!! I knew there had to be an upside to this.
I'm looking forward to reading your blogs on your training for the FLM - happy blogging!
A wee update regarding fundraising, I'm now signed up to raise money for Tuberous Sclerosis Association. If you want to know why you can go onto my justgiving page - www.justgiving.com/allyrobb27
