Overview

I feel like I did this not so long ago: train for a marathon that is. I was ready to run 26.2 in Columbus and the weekend before the race, I found out I was pregnant. So, after 6 years of dragging my feet and talking myself into training again, as anyone who has trained knows it takes a LOT of time, which I don't have much of, I'm ready and excited to be doing this again.

I am currently in week 4 of training on a beginner plan. Six years ago, I planned to finish the marathon in 4 hours. Now, I just want to finish. I certainly don't want to be the last to finish, but I'm not as concerned with time as I used to be. This is more for myself. To prove that I'm not a quitter. I tend to do that. But, not this time. Luckily, I've trained before, so I know what's coming. It's exciting and encouraging to hear other people's stories. I hope I can do the same for others.

So, I'm just the run-of-the-mill person. A runner in my freetime, not fast by any means. But, I LOVE running and can't wait to kick the 26.2's butt!
