Aaaaahhhh, it's real....

Mar25201010:18 p.m.

The Virgin London Marathon pack has arrived; the 'final' instructions and running number etc has made the whole escapade scarily real and seem very close...

My head is swimming with all the things that now need to be arranged and organised for the expo and the rest of the weekend - probably staying with the in-laws just outside London so need a project plan for the wife and children (and the in-laws) for the whole weekend as well as the day itself... No doubt my own parents and various other relatives will want to join the spectators so there's now added pressure to perform well to make their journeys worthwhile... Suppose I must ensure I get that long run in at the weekend....

I'm wondering whether the sick feeling and the mild sense of panic combined with a feverish anticipation and excitement is normal, and whether it will grow or diminish as we get closer to the day and the novelty of receiving the pack wears off...?
