Rising Panic....

Apr1820109:15 p.m.

okay... now the anxiety levels are beginning to rise for a few reasons...

My taper has not been so much of a taper, more a full stop! Following a really good long run last Sunday which exorcised a few demons, I've done very little this week - a gentle 5 miles on Tuesday but then I had a bit of a niggle in my thigh so although I went to the gym on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - I only did a bit on the cross trainer or very short runs (no more than three miles) and I've done nothing yesterday or today - might try and do say 6 miles tomorrow before work and see how it goes...

I've seen the first advert for the coverage of the London Marathon on the BBC... that made it both real and seem very close... one week and it will all be over; just made me wonder what the weather will be like, what sort of state I will be in etc...

I've just been looking at travel arrangements - I need an early train on the day; earlier than I normally get up, let alone function without a coffee first (and I don't think I'll be having one of those)... I've taken Friday off work to go to the Expo (which I appreciate makes me luckier than some) - so at least I've got Saturday to try to stay calm; well as calm as one can be with three children under 6!

Best wishes to all for the week, hope the taper is going well and all the travel plans coming together...
